Director of Marketing
What energizes you at work?
I am energized working with great colleagues (which we have here at Headlands Research) and employing my abilities to solve interesting and ‘needle-moving’ challenges. The ability to accelerate the growth of an organization through data and tech-driven marketing strategies as well as contributing to organizational health and efficiency vis-à-vis agile implementations such as Scrum/Kanban/Tameflow is rewarding – & Kaizen forever.
What led you to this career?
Since I can remember, I have always been interested in marketing and have been a bit of a nerd/gearhead growing up (i.e., think propeller hat working on my beloved Commodore64) tinkering on computers, programming, electronics etc. The two disciplines complement one another nicely in todays’ digital technology and data-driven marketing world and I enjoy having the opportunity to apply them here at Headlands Research.
What’s a trip that changed you, and why?
My wife and I took a mid-career sabbatical for a round-the-world trip which was amazing. Having the ability to embrace cultures more deeply than just a fly-by weeks’ vacation on a beach with some cliché tourist activities is a much more rewarding experience. Read a lot, travel a lot – you will be wealthy.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I know one magic trick.
What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?
Antarctica. I think is one of the ultimate bucket list trip destinations.
